WORK PLACEMENT
Work placement is a year out of study between second and final year. Students commonly find opportunities within four key sectors – the public, private, educational or conservation spheres. The majority of placements are paid and last between ten months and a year. They can be undertaken at home or abroad. Successful completion of work placement is recognised by a Diploma in Professional Practice (DPP) in addition to the degree being studied.
As well as the opportunity to apply university knowledge and skills, work placement provides the opportunity to understand industry, build networks and contacts, develop time management, presentation and communication skills.
