GIS Officer, Butterfly Conservation

We are seeking an experienced GIS specialist who is passionate about supporting butterfly and moth conservation. You will maintain spatial data and tools, and support staff and volunteers’ data use and training. You will primarily use QGIS, but also postGIS, Python, ESRI Arc and online systems. In this role you will be part of a remote team, collaborating with colleagues and partners.
We are looking for someone who can demonstrate they have the ability to work independently, who can excel at planning their time across multiple tasks and bring a creative approach. You will need to be able to understand best practices, standards and the language of data, and have proven skills in supporting people with different levels of technical experience. This is a part-time role working 18.5 hours per week.
