Our core business activities are teaching and learning, widening access to education, research and innovation and technology and knowledge transfer. - THE ROLE - The School of Geography and Environmental Science at Ulster University is a vibrant and dynamic department teaching over 400 undergraduate and postgraduate students and with an international research profile in the fields of geography, marine science and environmental sciences. We recently attracted significant funding to develop our Centre for Environmental Spatial Data Analytics. We are seeking a highly motivated individual with a commitment to impactful research and to education that emphasizes active learning experiences in the classroom and field settings. The successful applicant for this full-time, permanent post will contribute to teaching at undergraduate and postgraduate level in related subjects, including co-ordination of relevant modules, and dissertation and MSc project supervision, as well as leading the delivery, management and development of the Postgraduate Taught Masters in Environmental Management. They will also undertake research in line with the School’s strategy, and contribute to other Schools’ activities as required. We invite applications from candidates in all areas of environmental science, particularly those with expertise completing the current School’s portfolio. Specific areas of research interest can include environmental science, environmental management, sustainability, and conservation. The school will provide some financial support for the successful candidate for the development of their own research agenda in the first 3 years of employment.
