A new opportunity in the Ring of Gullion AONB, Strangford and Lecale AONB and the Mourne Gullion Strangford Geopark.

We are very pleased to launch our Youth Leader Programme, the next step up from our Youth Ranger programme. This new programme is for 16 -24 year olds. Please see flyer attached.

We are looking for applications from young people who have a passion for the outdoors and nature conservation, are considering an environmental career, or who want to encourage others to responsibly enjoy our precious landscapes; and are 16-24 years old.  We want to hear from them! We have an exciting programme of activities planned that will help them to develop many transferable skills and qualifications, while making new friends and enjoying new experiences with like-minded people.

Find out more and apply on our websites linked below. As with Youth Rangers there are two groups, applicants should apply to the AONB group applicable to them.

This project is funded by Action Renewables supported by Landscapes NI, and NIEA/DAERA through the Carrier Bag Levy.

There are just 12 places available on this programme in each AONB and we expect them to be highly sought after. Applications close on 5pm on the 30th June 2025.

Please share this with any young person you think would be interested.

If you have any questions or need any clarification please get in touch.
