Salary Scale: Higher Scientific Officer (HSO) £32,328 – £33,459 per annum

Essential Criteria
Applicants must demonstrate that they possess the following criteria, by the closing date for applications. Each essential criteria will be applied.
At least a 2nd class honours degree in Science, Biological Degree.
2 years’ experience of working within a professional or technical team with specific experience in environmental policy and or consultation.
Knowledge of environmental policy at international and national levels.
A full and current driving licence held for more than 2 years (with no more than 3 penalty points).
Desirable Criteria
Some or all of the following criteria MAY be used in the event of a large number of suitably qualified applications.
At least 2 years relevant post qualification experience, gained within the last 8 years.
Post-graduate relevant environmental based MSc and/or PhD.
