NICS Student Placements

The Northern Ireland Civil Service has launched its 2025-26 Student Placement Competition, offering 130 placements across government departments.

The scheme, now recruiting for its fifth year,  offers valuable experience for aspiring Civil Servants, providing an excellent opportunity for students to put into practice their classroom learning, develop personally and professionally and undertake meaningful work which directly impacts the lives of our citizens.

In turn the Civil Service also benefits from fresh views and skills and offers staff the opportunity to guide and share their professional experience to those who wish to pursue a career in public service after university.
