SENIOR AQUACULTURE & SHELLFISHERIES OFFICER (REF: SASO/23)
SENIOR FISHERIES OFFICER (SFO) – Salary Scale: £35,828 to £37,914 per annum
Temporary – 12 months (subject to funding and with a possible extension)
Essential Criteria
Applicants must demonstrate that they possess the following criteria by the closing date for applications:
Minimum 2:1 BSc (Hons) Degree in a Fisheries Science subject (or other relevant subjects e.g. Environmental Sciences, Biological Sciences, Marine Biology or Zoology) or equivalent qualification.
2 years’ post qualification experience gained in the last 10 years in the delivery of aquaculture or fisheries science role, or other relevant environmental disciplines.
Demonstrable experience of project management.
2 years’ experience of managing people.
Experience of managing and maintaining scientific data and processes.
Desirable Criteria
Some or all of the following criteria MAY be used in the event of a large number of suitably qualified applications:
Masters or PhD in Fisheries or other relevant subjects.
Experience of fisheries related legislation and legal processes in Northern Ireland and Ireland.
