ENVIRONMENTAL EDUCATION & OUTREACH OFFICER

STAFF OFFICER (SO) – Salary Scale: £32,880 – £34,011 per annum

Maternity Cover (6 months – subject to funding and with a possible extension)

Essential Criteria

Applicants must demonstrate that they possess the following criteria by the closing date for applications:

A third level qualification relevant to the post (such as a biological or environmental science discipline) AND have 3 years relevant project delivery experience working in environmental / countryside management or community based partnership schemes.

OR

5 years relevant project delivery experience working in environmental / countryside management or community based partnership schemes.

All candidates must also show demonstrable experience in the following areas:

  • Management and delivery of education / environmental projects and programmes.

  • Event planning, co-ordination and delivery.

  • Working in partnership with education, community and voluntary sectors, and

  • The ability to plan, manage and deliver substantial projects on time and within budget.

Candidates must have a full current driving licence by the closing date and have a mode of transport suitable for travel in relation to this job.

Desirable Criteria

In the event of a large number of suitably qualified applications, the criteria will be enhanced, as detailed below. Candidates will need to demonstrate meeting 2 of the 3 criteria:

  1. A postgraduate or masters level degree qualification relevant to the post.

  2. Experience of developing cross border projects.

  3. Seven years relevant project delivery experience working in environmental / countryside management or community based partnership schemes.
