Operating in the Industrial Maintenance team, we support Sustainability and Environment (S&E) projects and the new initiatives. Driving sustainability transformation at Airbus Broughton evolving environmental and societal needs to ensure business continuity and foster innovation.
In this position you will support the Head of Industrial Maintenance in the definition and management of dedicated projects aiming at supporting the sustainability and environmental evolution of the Division in connection with stakeholder and societal expectations.
This internship will give the successful candidate the opportunity to influence safety strategy and to practice various aspects of project management including; creating project plans, engaging multi functional teams, developing financial business cases and reporting on project status.
What you will be doing:
Your main tasks and responsibilities will include:
Developing and leading dedicated projects in connection with S&E requirements and regulations and their evolution such as e.g. Green Deal;
Providing cost estimations, consolidations, analysis, operational planning and monitoring for relevant projects and initiatives;
Leading and providing all aspects related to the projects such as contracting, creation of dossiers, documentation, action plans, reporting, Risk & Opportunity assessment etc;
Driving the implementation of the S&E governance and target cascading in connection with relevant stakeholders (Sites, Functions & PLs);
Being the focal point for Plant Production Support Customer requirements;
Ensuring the appropriate execution of the Risk & Opportunity assessment;
Being advocate for the S&E activities and foster lasting connections across the Airbus Plant, inspiring and engaging colleagues across the internal Airbus organisation in their work to support the S&E activities;
Communicating the S&E achievements: internally and across digital platforms.
Requirements:
Our placements are open to Undergraduates only. Therefore it is mandatory for candidates to be an undergraduate for the whole duration of the placement. Please inform your graduation date on your application.

Successful candidates will be able to demonstrate the following:
Studying towards Manufacturing / Production Engineering or Occupational Safety;
An understanding in the field of Sustainability;
Ability to build business cases to justify any expenditure required to deliver the improvement projects;
Ability to think strategically and translate improvement practices into local project plans;
Collaborates well within a team, including working with a transnational team;
A good communication style to engage and influence people from different functions.
